Come Regather With Your Church Family on June 14th

• Please wear a facemask while you are at the church. If you do not have a facemask, there will be one available for you to wear and keep. I understand that not everyone feels that facemasks are necessary. Out of respect for others please commit to wearing a facemask over the next few Sundays. To those who will be helping usher folks or leading the service, please wear a facemask when not on the stage.
• The Worship Service will begin at 10:15a.m. Doors will be open no later than 9:45 a.m.
• If you feel unsure about attending church for any reason please know that we will be livestreaming the 10:15 am service on Facebook, lbcblanchard.com, FCC App, and by telephone (call 1-425-585-7517). Do not feel obligated in any way to attend church in person. You can always join us on the livestream or phone call.
• We will not be handing out bulletins nor passing an offering plate. A collection plate will be placed in the foyer and on the communion table for those wanting and able to give. You can also use all of our electronic giving options.
• There will be no children’s church, child care, or Sunday school.
• During the week prior to the service, there will be an order of service, prayer sheet, and activity pages for children and shut-ins mailed and emailed to everyone on our mailing list. Please download these and print them off for your own usage prior to coming.
• Please pray for the church, for the state, for the nation, and for the world.
We are living in an unusual time. Thus, it is more important than ever to be patient and respectful towards each other. Thank you for being the church, thank you for how you have cared for each other during this time, and thank you for being God’s presence in this world. May the Lord bless this Sunday and glorify His name upon this world.

Support the operation of the LBC Gym with Centre Gives 5/12/2020 & 5/13/2020

Centre Gives starts at 9am TODAY! This is an opportunity for LBC to partner with the Centre Foundation to get grant funds for operation of the gym to serve the Centre County community. Please give online during this contest.
LBC will get a portion of the $300,000.00 stretch pool based upon the amount of donations we raise and the individual number of people who donate. The minimum donation is $10.00.
Every person who can donate will help us to win contests during this 36 hour period. The more people that make donations means more money from Centre Foundation for LBC gym operations. The more money that you donate the more money Centre Foundation will donate to us.
Go to https://centregives.org/…/190-liberty-baptist-church-of-bla… to donate starting at 9am today and ending at 9pm wednesday, May 13, 2020. GO!!!

What is next at LBC?

Dear LBC Family,
If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that we would be in quarantine for months, I would have been so anxious about the impact it would have on our Church. In the past, I have gotten nervous about snow days. This would have sounded like a nightmare. Questions would have flooded my mind. Will we be able to connect with people? Will people participate with an online service? Will we continue to help our community? You have answered those questions with a resounding “yes!”
We have averaged 85 screens participating in the services on Sunday, with more than one person watching per screen in many cases. We have continued to reach out in the community by providing supplies and technical assistance to our community, food for seniors and shut-ins, and support for the Keystone Babe Ruth program that provides two meals a day to members of our communities. God has been so good to us!
With the recent announcements by President Trump and the PA Governor’s Office, we are aware that there are a lot of questions about what we do moving forward. Let’s make sure we approach this subject with unity and grace. Some may be of the opinion that things should move faster, while others may believe that things should move slower. In order to answer some of these questions in the short term, I wanted to reach out to you.
Our church family wants to continue to be careful and thoughtful. The well-being and health of our members is our utmost priority. We especially want to love our kids, seniors, and others who may be vulnerable to illness. I have been in contact with medical professionals in our community and available to me through ABCOPAD and the ABC-USA staff. At this time we will continue the precautions that we have put in place through the month of May, at a minimum. Through the month of May, we will continue to hold online services only and restrict access to the buildings on our property. I will be working together with the church Boards to develop a plan for how church services will look once we are able to meet again. Be prepared for things to look different, and we thank you in advance for your understanding. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated as things progress.
In times like these, let’s remember again, Isaiah 41:10. “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and hear you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
God is in control.
In Christ,
Pastor Chris

CENTRE GIVES 2020

LBC is excited to be teaming up with Centre Foundation to participate in Centre Gives 2020. Centre Gives is a unique, online giving event designed to encourage community giving and to support the great work of Centre County nonprofits during 36 hours – starting at 9:00 am on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 and ending at 9:00 pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. This exciting community giving event is hosted by Centre Foundation and supported by Centre Foundation community impact funds and partnerships with local businesses.
In 2012, Centre Foundation established Centre Gives to promote and support Centre County’s many nonprofit organizations. Since its inception, over $8.2 million has been invested into our community through Centre Gives, benefitting over 165 local organizations. Your donations through Centre Gives not only qualify Liberty Baptist for a larger share of the $300,000 stretch pool, but also help LBC qualify for additional prize money. Although there is a 5% participation fee for LBC, which includes the credit card processing fee, the pro-rated stretch pool has historically exceeded that percentage.
All online donations at centregives.org must be made via credit or debit card. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted. Cash or check donations are not accepted by centregives.org. You can send cash donations to the church and we will see that they get made online. Donations are tax deductible and irrevocable (donations will not be refunded) and will be for the use of Liberty Baptist Church. The minimum donation is $10.00. There is no maximum donation amount; however, only the first $10,000 of a donation will be eligible for the $300,000 stretch pool.
LBC is looking forward to continuing to offer the use of our gym and recreation facility to the most rural eastern part of Centre County. Since 1996 the gym has been available and today we serve over 400 children, youth, and families from Centre and Clinton counties in central Pennsylvania. Soccer, basketball, volleyball, dance, twirling, cheerleading, gymnastics, and many other activities are held in this facility offered to our community for only a donation each day. The costs to operate the facility to your group continue to increase. Just in 2019 alone we have faced over 48% increases in utilities. Insurance has increased over 25% in the last two years.
The impact on the Liberty Baptist Church budget is tremendous. We spend well over $2,500 per month just to keep the lights on and the doors open so your group can have access to this quality facility. The facility-user donations make up only a small part of the costs. WE NEED YOUR HELP. LBC needs you to show your appreciation and dedication by participating in this event on May 12th and May 13th.
